Hailemichael (Dudikoff), Director and Head Coach of JKS Ethiopia, has once again made history by becoming Ethiopia’s first International WKF Coach/Referee and Judge. He achieved this significant feat by successfully completing the International WKF Coach/Referee and Judge training program in the United States, under the instruction of Dr. Mohamed El-Hoseiny, Chairman of the WKF Technical Commission.
This achievement is a crucial milestone not only for JKS Ethiopia but also for the overall development of karate in the country. Hailemichael also stated that he extensively discussed the possibility of Dr. Mohamed El-Hoseiny conducting future WKF international courses in Ethiopia and expressed his strong desire for this plan to come to fruition.
Coach Dudikoff attributed his success to Ethiopia’s membership in the WKF and to JKS’s path of growth and excellence. He emphasized, “By God’s will, I have started for my country, and I will continue.”

The Japan Karate Shoto Federation Ethiopia presented its 2016 performance report and 2017 plan on According to the Ethiopian calendar. October 5, 2017, at the Check-In Hotel. Contestants who won the Asian Africa Championship in Dubai and the sixth JKS World Championship in Japan were awarded 25,000 Birr and a trophy. Employees who demonstrated excellent performance were awarded certificates.
Additionally, the event addressed the issue of material supply in the country through discussions about collaboration with the International Order of Lion Organization for karate competition and training materials. The federation also highlighted the efforts to support and care for the helpless elderly, in cooperation with members of the JKS ETH Dojo and Samarita Vision Elderly Aid Organization.
All these plans and the next steps were presented and discussed comprehensively.
